What happens at a Cheers & Wins gathering

You don’t have to wait for a promotion or a finished degree to have something worth celebrating. Maybe you finally made that appointment you’d been putting off. Maybe you said no when you needed to. At Cheers & Wins, that’s enough of a reason to raise a glass.

It’s a small monthly gathering for women at my studio in Flower Mound, starting this November. We get together to share our wins and celebrate each other, without advice, analysis, or needing to make the story sound more impressive than it is.

The idea is simple.

You come in, get settled, and share one win. It can be something you’ve worked toward for years or something small that made a difference in your week. You don’t need an impressive story or a speech prepared. Just something you’re glad about.

Everyone gets a turn.

Each monthly gathering brings together a small group, capped at 7 women. We sit together as one group and take turns sharing our wins, so you don’t have to wait for a gap in the conversation or work out when to jump in.

When it’s your turn, you can tell us what happened and why you’re glad about it. There’s no need to make it sound impressive or downplay it as "not a big deal." If it matters to you, it belongs in the conversation. And when someone else shares, you get to hear her story and celebrate with her. Most women walk in knowing nobody. That is normal here, and it stops mattering fast.

The one house rule.

When someone shares, the rest of us listen and celebrate. We don't analyze it, try to fix anything, or give advice.

You don't need to explain why your win matters or follow it with what you plan to do next. You can simply be glad about it and let the people around you be glad with you.

Why celebrate on purpose?

Most of us move past a win in about four seconds. Something good happens, we feel it briefly, and then the to-do list takes over. Saying a win out loud, to people whose only job is to be glad about it, makes it land. You get to pause on something that's already happened instead of rushing to what's next.

You'll also get to hear what the other women in the group are celebrating. The wins don't need to look alike, and this isn't a competition over whose is biggest. There's room for the major milestone and the appointment you finally made.

The practical details.

Cheers & Wins gatherings run monthly at my garage studio in Flower Mound, starting in November. Each group is capped at 7 women, and the address goes out after you sign up. Current dates and pricing are on the booking page.

Want to try it first? On Sunday, October 25, I'm hosting Cheers & Wins: The Social at the Flower Mound Community Activity Center from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. It's a preview of the monthly gatherings, with more room. Entry is $10, and that $10 comes off your first monthly gathering. Tickets are here.

Come with one win in your pocket. We'll take it from there.

Sandy
